Christmas is about a lot of things, both religious and secular. A lot of the specifics are up for debate. But its undeniable that presents have become a major part of Christmas. Personally, I just give presents so I dont look like a Scrooge. Presents are a huge thing: kids get them, parents get them, even pets get them. Yes, gift-giving is a massive theme during the holiday season. I feel that there is nothing wrong with kids getting gifts. It can be a joy to see a little ones eyes light up when he receives the latest gadget or gizmo hes been pining over. But there is such a thing as excess, some people go a bit overboard. I invite people to explore modesty when it comes to gift-giving, no need to go over the top. Christmas is dramatic enough as it is. I mean, what other holiday involves chopping down a tree, covering it in lights and favors and dragging it into your living room?
A Christmas tree is surrounded by numerous presents large and small. There is a child asking an adult, "Where's the rest of my presents?"
