The Story Behind World Peas

It is wild to think about all the different cultures of the world. It is wild to think about the history of different peoples and how they became what they are today. And it is wild to think that, as cliched as it sounds, we aren’t really that different at all.

We have wildly varied and distinct customs, sure, but at the end of the day, what we all want and strive for is the same: happiness, health for our family and loved ones...and maybe some good ice cream after a long day. Whether you hail from China, Iceland, America, Mexico or any other nation on this planet, some things are constant. No matter what you speak, wear or worship, some things just don’t change.

But there are differences between cultures. And, hey, that is totally okay! However, that seems to ruffle the feathers of some people. You know the type: the obnoxiously loud folks who think there is something inherently wrong with people speaking different languages or observing unique customs. History is full of these people and they are always so steamed and beside themselves with anger. But what do they really want? A world where everyone looks and acts the exact same? How boring is that? What good would a world full of angry, red-faced know-it-alls be?

Besides, there are so many actually important things to get mad about now-a-days. It feels like there is a brand new catastrophe every single day. The economy in shambles! The environment is in peril! Cell phones cost over $1,000! Why are some people wasting their times getting mad about cultural differences?

Yet, sadly it seems there always have been and always will be three constants in this world: the similarities we all hold, the valuable and age-old differences we should cherish and the outraged loud mouths who get mad about all of it.

Sweaters, stickers, even scrunchies. Did you know the Taleas shop has all of that and more? Come check it out.
