I feel that we always want what we cant have and we rarely count the cost of desires. Take startups, for example: demanding hours, the multiple hats you must wear, smaller paychecks and less time with your family all in the hope that maybe someday you will hit it rich and can cash out. Our desire to break away and blaze our own path or try something new is important, it keeps people curious and independent. But it needs to be met with pragmatism and tempered expectations. Most importantly, people need to remember to not leap before they look, even if theyre leaping for something they want so, so badly.
